What do we need?

We are starting from scratch. There are 4 of us so I think we would like 3 bedrooms if poss. We want to get everything so we can plan some trips next year. Is there a magic list anywhere?!

For tents. Look at the hydrostatic head. Higher number keeps you drier! Also consider how easy it will be to put up. Inflatable or tunnel tent etc.
Happy campers sleep well. Many people here recommend sims. Decent sleeping bags. Not cheapo ones. Look at comfort rating for temp. Fleece blanket under and over.
Eating. Table and chairs. Stove? Cool box? Crockery and cutlery.
Lighting. Torches and lanterns.
Borrow some stuff to start with if you want. Stores like Go Outdoors have loads on display.
In the evening get in PJs early. Joggers and fleece tops over. Stay warm. No stripping off in the cold.
Crocs or flip flops to go to showers.

Thank you I know there is a lot to buy but once we have it .... We have it.

Mallet to knock in tent pegs and remover too!
