Child friendly campsites around 1.5 hours from London?

Looking for recommendations, just came back from our first camping trip with a group of friends and would like to get in one more before the end of the summer hols.

Ideally we want loos/showers and somewhere child friendly. My 5yo loved the fact that she could have the run of the field over the week end and there ways a huge pack of kids just hanging out so somewhere that lends itself to that would be fab especially as we also have a 18 month old who still wakes in the night!!

We have camped at Gullivers in Milton keynes which was good like that as the play area was in the centre

Have a look at Welsummer in Kent. It is a small, sweet version of the 'wild camping ' style, has a small wood full of gangs of kids, very friendly.

Cotswold View is great. Animals, a massive zip wire, play area, play field, woodland walk etc etc
Even has a Fish and Chip van some nights, great value and fab food.

They even have a skittle alley you can hire out for just your group.

WoWo in Sussex is very child friendly.

Three Lakes just outside ware, Hertfordshire.lovely sight, rarely busy, loads of things for the kids to do as it's also a bit of an outdoor centre with a little high ropes course, zorb football and etc. Also has a bar and restaurant.

Check out Wellington Country Park (in Bracknell Forest). Perfect for that age and has really good (and clean) amenities!

Fab loads of places for me to heck out. Should prob of mentioned we also need to be able to park the car next to the tent. Do many sites restrict that?

Another vote Wellington , going in 3 weeks for 3rd summer running can't wait! you can leave one car with tent, any 2nd car has to go in car park)

Another vote for Wellington. We have been 3 times and it is brilliant for kids. This year we are going to Town Farm Campsite which is just north of London and has a lot of space to play (tents go around outside of field) and a nice looking play area.

Try Scott's farm camp site (west wittering). It had a beautiful beach nearby and playground onsite, clean showers etc. You can park you car next to your tent too.

Definitely Wellington Country Park, you can take your bikes into the country park after closing time, plenty to do during the day (free minigolf, playgrounds, paddling area, little train). The campsite has decent facilities, some areas are quite hard (roots and stones under trees) so make sure you take a second ground sheet and heavy duty pegs.

Not sure of travel distance from London but we had a lovely week at Scotts Farm campsite near West Wittering (which is a fab sandy beach).

Another vote for Cotswold View. We do an annual trip there with friends, kids love it, great facilities and you can park the cars next to tent. I haven't camped at Wellington but the country park is great. And a friend has camped at Gullivers and loved it.

Bridge Villa at Wallingford. Good facilities. Nothing in particular for children, but always loads there riding bikes/scooters around the site. And yes, you can park next to your pitch!

There's an open air pool and splashpark across the road and a short walk over the bridge to Wallingford for pubs, restaurants and Waitrose!

I agree that Welsummer would suit (hello Blu ). Also really recommend Town Farm in Bucks. Wowo is our fave and ticks all boxes but mine are 11 & 8 so have much more freedom than they used to. Happy camping
