Help me find a campsite in the south please.

Please help me find a campsite. I don't normally post on here but in struggling to find somewhere. I'm looking for anywhere in the south. Not in the new forest! We love all the forest campsites but want to go somewhere different this time. We want:
Good clean facilities/showers etc.
Space to camp away from people preferably amongst trees so no set pitches in a row and nowhere that's going to be too crowded.
Allows dogs and good dog walking, places to explore straight off the campsite.
Ideally a outdoor swimming pool, good kids park and a shop onsite but nowhere that's going to be to busy.
Preferably somewhere we won't have to book in advance as likely to do something different if the weather is bad.
Does this exist? Thanks for any help.

Somewhere really great with good facilities but few customers? In the school holidays? I doubt it does exist, unless it's hugely expensive.

Noted. For me it's more about camping away from other people!

Chestnut meadows, I've not been yet but a lot of my friends highly recommend it, it's in East Sussex

Don't know of any in Sussex with a pool.

Have you looked at the Camping Unplugged sites? No park or pool but loads of amazing woodland with rope swings, climbing trees and endless opportunities for making dens etc. Inwood in particular is basically camping in a huge woodland, you can find pitches anywhere you like. The 'proper' facilties can be found in Home Field, elsewhere composting toilets etc. The camping unplugged sites are all about space over facilities, though the main toilets and showers are perfectly good of you can't face composting. Another interesting one is Alpine Grove. The main area is fairly standard, though not crowded, pitches are quite well spaced and among lovely big trees, reminds me of a European wooded site. Further back things become a little wilder and there are hidden pitches among the rhododendrons. There is a small pool and play park. You might find my blog useful. I review only campsites that allow campfires, this tends to mean sites that are a bit more relaxed, definitely no cramped pitches and or dreaded rows! Good luck with your search!

Avon Tyrell www.avontyrrell.org.uk/index.html ticks a lot of your boxes - outdoor pool, trees, dogs allowed, and it allows raised campfires if that is of interest, whilst also having EHU. As it is an outdoor centre, there are also other bookable activities but they do get quite busy.

However, it is in the New Forest, so maybe no good?

Not sure about the booking situation though - it might be a case of taking your chances if you don't book in advance.
