Tempted to buy a bell tent

Have camped before, but not for a few years - Will I regret it? Its just me and 3 DD's

Roughly how big are they when in bag? I have rather a small car so size when packed up is essential.

Am still dithering! Have now talked with DD's and one is desperate to get a bell tent whilst one of the others (who I thought would love it!) is dithering. Am going to decide in the next day or so, having said that, I noticed a place fairly near where we would stay do glamping in a bell tent and so I am not sure whether to do this first (although it would be cheaper to buy bell tent and pay the camp pitch than the price to pay for glamping!)

Funny enough Lisa a friend who I had mentioned about a bell tent also saw the octagon 8 and sen me the link!

I have finally made a decision and bought the Colemans Octogon 8! Sat down with DD's this evening and made a joint family decision. At 1st they were dithering and unsure until they saw the inside, now DD3 is desperate to go camping. I am hoping that it comes quickly so we may even get a sneaky trip in this weekend!

I think the other thread that I saw today regarding bell tents made me realise that perhaps they are not just for me right now!

Thank you to everyone that has given me their advice/opinion - much appreciated

They do look excellent tents - and very practical.

Enjoy yourselves!

Thanks Blu, tent arrived about 4:30pm Friday, 4:45pm rang a campsite that was about 5 miles from home to ask if they had any vacancies - yes they did, mad rush around home packing up stuff, quick shop at camping shop to buy camp stove and lantern and by 8:30pm we were sat outside our tent eating hotdogs in rolls and tomato soup. We had a lovely weekend away, weather was fab and Dd's now want to go again!

Tent is so easy to put up, took us about 30 mins - me and 2DD's. Mind you I have no idea how they managed to fit it all in one bag, I can only just put tent and inner tent in bag and the poles are separate! Hmmmm.......

Other than that I would recommend this tent!
