First time camper - how to stay warm and cosy at night?

So we've bitten the bullet and bought an Airbeam tent for the 4 of us (DH and 2xDS). I have NEVER camped before and my concern is how to create a warm and cosy bed for the night. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

I would also say don't drink too many fluids close to bed or you will be up all night and this makes you and your tent cold

How did the camping go

We survived!! Learnt a few lessons for next time but our bed set up was perfect. Thank you for all your advice. We've already booked our next trip for 2 weeks time Smile

I take my duvet when I go camping.
This year we're taking foil-covered bubble wrap (insulating foam type stuff) which we've cut to fit the floor of the tent bedroom.

We use a double sim for me and the kids to sleep on. Covers the whole floor space so the kids don't wriggle of it and get cold. Cover it in a old unzipped sleeping bag not picnic blanket as this is also useful as a spare incase of accidents!
