Thinking about this for a few days in the summer holidays but I've never been so am after some recommendations.

We usually take a trailer - I assume this will be ok on the ferry (it will cost more?).

We have stayed at Heathfield camping, it's one of the more smaller sites on the island.

We booked the ferry through the campsite, worked out a touch cheaper. I think some of the other sites do this to, so check out prices. They do take trailers, but you are right, it will be more expensive. Make sure you know the exact length of your trailer as some companies have different rates for large/small trailers.

There is loads to do on the IOW, I keep meaning to head back.

That sounds good. Thanks. I'd love a campsite with a sea view.........

We're hoping to go with friends so as long as we make sure that we fill the trailer well it'll probably be worthwhile.
