Looking at next summer - we're after a camping/caravan site (probably staying in a static but open to other options) to visit Northumberland and use as a base for visiting Bamburgh, Alnwick, and having lots of nice walks.
Criteria: family-friendly, nice relaxed atmosphere, good views, play area for the DC (will be 7 and 9). If it doesn't have an onsite shop/bar then needs to be within walking distance of a village with these in!
I've discounted the local Haven sites as they get terrible reviews, Waren Mill (www.meadowhead.co.uk/Warenhome/tabid/98/Default.aspx) looks really good but wondered if anyone had any recommendations?
