what are your must haves?

1. Probably my heat pal which is used for cooking and heating our tent, makes fab toast by putting the bread directly on top, lovely for something like risotto, warms/toasts wraps. I think it would be that.

1. A site with a back to basics feel and plenty of room.

I could give up most things for the right sort of site. For instance if no fires allowed I can get by/pretend with the light from our lanterns (Freuerhand I think they are called) and hang up a few of these little things, which DH thinks are a total waste of time but I like them . Of course he has the very practical candle lantern used to keep the frost off in his backpack ski days but I like the 'fluffy' ones.

We bought ours from a chandlery rather than anything tentipi related (£120 ish).

We are on our second one after DH (who is definitely not a hoarder) sold the first one on flea bay a few years back because we hadn't used it much that year, I swiftly bought another the fool.

Does everything though, not really suitable for a SIG tent but we do use it in our DeW with all the vents/mesh doors open.

Our new winter tent acts like a chimney ventilation wise and we can leave it on at night time.

1. I couldn't live without my vango 4 season bag. I've had a few others and I'm finally warm in this one!

1. Decent loos! I was in scouting for many years and feel I've done my roughing it time lol!
