Hello. We are hoping to camp in the first week of September but need something within 1.5-2 hours of Liverpool. Totally open to good recommendations for campsites.... Has anyone been anywhere good this year? Have a 7 and an 11 year old. TIA.

Hi
What type of site? Countryside? Entertainment? We do a mix depending on the time of year so may be able to recommend

Countryside if poss, not bothered about entertainment. Really open to any ideas! X

Have you looked at ukcampsite.Co.UK. People's reviews are really good there I find.

Shell Island, but not BH weekend as gets v noisy. Camp out in the dunes for quieter pitches or on the main camping fields for something more lively.
Aim to arrive by about 1 for a decent dunes pitch.

Just come back from Irongorge camping just outside Ironbridge and had a fab time. It's a new site so toilets are spotless and loads of hot water. Loads to do in Ironbridge so great is weather is not so good. They lend out free fire pits so had a great time round the campfire at night
We were in a group and other had hired their pods and bell tents, which were all brand new and in great nick.
Can't find the number but we found them through UK campfires
