Kids camping with their dad for first time.

The DC aged 10 & 7 are going camping with their dad for the first time for a week.

He is providing the camping equipment apart from sleeping bags which I have bought, but what clothes will they need to take? They are going to Shell Island for one week.

I have never camped either so I am clueless!

You need to plan for sun, rain and cold basically (they could have all of these in the same day). I would suggest the following:

Wellies
Waterproof coat and trousers
swimsuit plus wetsuit maybe (for Shell Island)
sunhat/suncream
Crocs (ubiquitous camping footwear for the under 18) or flip flops plus a pair of sturdy shoes or trainers
thermals/thermal pyjamas/onesie (nights can be cold)
fleece jumper for evenings round the campfire
long sleeve tops/leggings/trackie bottoms for layering
shorts/skirts/sun dresses/t shirts
towel (microfibre or hammam to pack up small)
