I'm keen to order some of these for camping but I'd need at least 4, and the best deals seem to be on packs of 3! Anyway the ebay seller mentioned above has 2 deals for £39.99, one including 6 towels and one 4. Trying to compare the two offers the more expensive (per towel!) 4-pack seems to be slightly heavier weight than the 6-pack ones. Does anyone have any advice over whether it's better to get the heavier or lighter kind? I guess the more expensive ones are more absorbent? Any advice welcome, thanks!

I can't comment on heavy/light weight emcwill but I do know that etsy vendors will do you a custom listing, with whatever combination of towels you choose, if you don't want to be limited to Amazon quantities (with the added bonus of not lining Amazon coffers!)

Good point! Thanks beckym - I keep saying I'm on board with the Amazon boycott then finding things I need to order from them!

Are they better than the mountain warehouse camping towels?

CMOTDibbler · 20/07/2015 12:55

I don't have a Mountain Warehouse camping towel, but we own an assortment of microfibre travel towels, and the hammam towels are much better than those

I did buy off Etsy! Got 4 large and 2 small for around £45 (could prob have got cheaper but was pushed for time). Ordered Tuesday, arrived Thursday, which was a relief as just in time for Latitude! So pleased I discovered these through MN! We had so much stuff that these taking up as less room than one bath towel was really helpful. DH was sceptical, to put it mildly, that they could replace a proper towel but was absolutely won over! Especially as he could wear it like a sarong to schlep from shower to tent afterwards. And yes they dried in no time! Worth every penny! Thanks all!

Delighted to hear you're happy as I have just purchased too! Arrived incredibly quickly and seem good tho haven't used them yet. Good and big and have had their cold wash, roll on the holiday, yay!

Oooh, I ordered a couple to try from that eBay seller in Turkey too. We spend a lot of time at the beach and they look perfect for that.

Mine just arrived from evay today and I love them already! Fold up very small and the coliurs are fab. They even came with their own little drawstring bag. A bit hard and starchy at the moment but hoping a wash will sort that out.
