Sussex here, hoping for sunshine still but the long range forecast I looked at earlier isn't that fantastic.

We're off to Elderflower Fields too, Frozen, our first year. Dd1 has just turned 3 and dts are over 1, I'm excited to finally start our camping holidays that I've been dreaming about. And using (some of) the kit I've been buying since my obsession with camping started when dd1 was about 6 months old :)
See you there. I'll be the one with all the small children.

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 22/05/2015 00:15

Look forward to seeing you Bodeccia - we'll be the ones with just one child but loads of crop falling off our trolley.

You and the kids will love it. Loads of space and freedom for them (even crawlers relatively speaking). Get there as early as you can though as it is quite a trek from car to camping (although there is a van transporter apparently this year) and easier before the crowds arrive after sschool. DH is going down in the morning to pitch our tent and then coming back for me and DD once school is out. I get to pack the rest of the stuff in the meantime. Oh joy!

Weather is looking ok I think. Fingers crossed...

Daisy ... you are going camping - yes!

We are camping Mon-Thurs in Harrogate. Booked tickets for The Great British Food Festival at Harewood House on the Monday. It's our first camp of the season and we are ridiculously excited! DH and I have a new double sleeping bag, so we should be snug Grin. Weather forecast is pretty good yey!

Elizabeth267 · 22/05/2015 08:08

Clippesby hall in Norfolk! Mad packing rush here too!

Daisybell1 · 22/05/2015 08:15

Yes, sorry, too much wine last night!

Not going for Bank Holiday was what I meant to say, but yes to a couple of nights later on. I think we may miss the good weather though Confused

profpoopsnagle · 22/05/2015 17:42

Well I am here and pitched and about to send DH over to the Thai take out van on the site.

mugglingalong · 24/05/2015 11:37

We have tent (finally), mats, sleeping bags etc but grounded due to ds having chest infection Sad . He is on day 3 of ab so thinking about going tomorrow as long as he continues to get better. Dr seemed unphased by our plans to take him out into the wilds but we don't want to end up there and him be ill.

MegBusset · 24/05/2015 23:46

Muggling :( hope he feels much better and you manage to get away!

We had a lovely overnighter at the caravan, weather was stunning yesterday. Nice this morning, turned drizzly this afternoon but we were coming home anyway for a theatre show. Hope everyone's having a lovely time.

hillbilly · 26/05/2015 00:12

Just got back me from summerfield campsite in Cambridgeshire. Great site and there was a music festival going on at the pub across the road which was fun. Off to the lakes for a couple of nights camping tomorrow but the weather looking dire Sad

choystory · 26/05/2015 06:12

Good
Morning everyone- please excuse me jumpin on here. We were planning to go camping in Suffolk today for 2 nights, but all three of us including ds aged 3 have rotten colds. Ds was hacking cough last night.

Given the change in weather- do you think it's a bad idea to still go? Will we end up with pneumonia? ESP worried about little one Sad. Any advise / wise words? Thanks

MegBusset · 26/05/2015 09:11

I doubt anyone will end up with pneumonia but it might not be much fun! Have you booked and already paid?

AnnPerkins · 26/05/2015 10:17

Who's going this weekend? We're going to Wiltshire on Friday and it's looking wet at the moment. Saturday and Sunday look better though.

We're going with a few other families, I am expecting some to drop out.

choystory · 27/05/2015 07:24

We went in the end-- already paid in advance so thought we'd chance it. Pretty chilly last night but everyone seems ok. Thanks for reply! Hope you are having a good time too! Smile

hazeyjane · 27/05/2015 08:16

Just back from dorset - it was lovely, perfect weather, not too hot, not too cold. Nights were much warmer than I thought. Feel sad to be home!

MegBusset · 27/05/2015 17:51

We're going again the weekend after next :)

Kerberos · 28/05/2015 11:51

We are in Dorset too. Lovely weather. Little bit of rain last night but otherwise awesome.

hillbilly · 28/05/2015 16:53

Just got back from the lakes. It was wet yesterday but we still managed a roaring fire both nights and had a fantastic time.

alexw · 29/05/2015 21:54

5 glorious days in Suffolk. Weather better than forecast, less wind than usual and all the kids' camping friends back there too. Fab!

Daisybell1 · 30/05/2015 02:54

Currently camping in Henley - chuffing Nora it's cold Shock

Kerberos · 30/05/2015 08:51

Agree. It's got a lot colder over the past few nights. Had to get the tent heater out last night :)

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 30/05/2015 09:10

Did you enjoy Elderflower Fields Bodeccia? We were so lucky with the weather this year!

mugglingalong · 02/06/2015 00:49

We did get away although only one night in the wild. Had to see dr up there who was fab and also didn't think that wild camping was incompatible with a chest infection. Change of ab and ds finally on the mend. He didn't have v high temp just hacking cough and slight fever. Did more stuff in car and less walking than planned. Still had fun. Weather wasn't too bad until Sat pm. Glad we aren't there this week!
