French campsites with pool, slides and general good stuff for kids

We did Yelloh last year. Liked it.
Want a campsite with enough facilities for DS as it's just me and him. I could do Yelloh again - but suspect could get cheaper.

Any recommendations = yes, I know it's a massive ask. Is it just a case of googling and looking at the individual sites?

Any region in particular? Which yelloh site did you stay at?

Thanks

Decided to cheat slightly and look at the Eurocamp website. Then google the campsite and see if they do camping.

If DS had his way, we'd fly somewhere and stay in an expensive chalet.

We're off to Les Iles again this summer after our first trip there last year. Great pool and slides, bouncy castle, on-site French kids club, direct access to a beach (great for rockpooling but not really for swimming.)

We have also had two great trips to Les Deux Fontaines which also has a lovely pool and slides.

Found a lovely site in the Dordogne. It's on the Eurocamp website but they do normal pitches as well. DS loves the slides and there should be English speaking kids there so he can with them.

Have a lovely time. I fancy the Dordogne in the future so may well be looking for your review this time next year!

Which Dordogne site is it? I've been looking at euro camp then googling the sites from there. We want to go to the Dordogne but the sites I fancy are all booked up as we've left it so lateSad

Camping Castels chain are usually good, we've stayed at a couple and so far, so good so worth a look

We've been to the Vendee and we're heading back this year to a site called La Trevilliere, first time round we went to a place called Ferme du Latois which was a gorgeous Dutch run site.

Some nice-looking sites here - snowplop / seattle can I ask, did the sites you stayed on do fridge hire or have somewhere to freeze ice packs?

snowplop · 30/04/2015 10:13

We hired a fridge at both of the sites I mentioned.
