Sorry, that was a bit brief.
I used to have a typical plastic cooler, and I would leave it in a shady place with a new frozen pack in it and by the end of the day it would all be melted.
The Icey Tek is not like having a magic freezer, but it does keep stuff actually cold. It is definitely worth pre-chilling it: I pre-freeze old plastic bottles full of water and fill the Icey Tek with them 12 or 24 hours before using. And pre-freeze as much stuff as possible that I will be taking: burgers, sausages, wraps, etc. and everything else very chilled. I add some good gel packs, and am strict about keeping the lid closed, opening it for as short a time as possible and not letting the kids open it and rummage .
Stuff is still frozen at the end of 3 days.
You can freeze the inner of a white wine box for ongoing cold white wine. I have never done it, but lots of people here have talked about it.
I mostly do short camping trips and in truth the Icey Tek is probably over-spec for what I need, but I love it anyway, and the cost per use goes down with each new trip....
Mine is matt white.
