Campsite recommendations in Brittany and Normandy please!

We may be totally mad but have decided to camp in France this July with three other families... 8 adults and 7 children between the ages of 3 and 7.

It's our first time so we're just headed to Brittany and Normandy. 3 families need ready pitched tents/chalets etc but one family are taking their own trailer tent so we need somewhere we can have both. Also we need somewhere where we can all be located together in a little group so that ideally once the kids are asleep we can sit outside and have some adult food/drinks/chats and still hear our little darlings if they wake up!

It's a big ask I know! Any recommendations?

We don't really want anywhere too big, busy, water parks etc.

Thanks wise ones!

Jo :)

You could try Les Deux Fontaines www.les2fontaines.fr We pitched our trailer tent there a few years ago in a little area that had a mixture of Canvas/Keycamp/Eurocamp statics and privately owned tents. It's a lovely site that we went to twice. I've only been to two French campsites, the other being the fabulous www.camping-des-iles.co.uk but on both, mobiles and tents were in completely separate areas.

Sounds like a fun trip - hope you find a great site!

I was going to suggest Les Deux Fontaines too. Not been yet, but we are going in July and it looks fab. We were going to opt for a tent, but the static mobile home was a bargain. There are tonnes of reviews on Trip Advisor, so you could have a look at them maybe.

Look in the Locmariaquer area ....

Try having a look at La Vallee in Normandy or Les Mouettes or Ty Nadan in Brittany, all very good campsites and you can book either a pitch only or get a tent or mobile home from the site.

We love Yelloh Village la plage near le Guilvinec in Brittany. We don't generally go back to the same place but this year will be our 4th visit

we've booked two weeks in L'Anse Du Brick for our first foray to France with DD 3. We've camped a lot in the UK with her before, and camped in France before we had her. No idea what it's actually like as we haven't been yet, but it looks lovely, wasn't terribly expensive, gets great reviews, and is just 15 mins' drive from Cherbourg. We are pitching a tent but they also have chalets and pitches for trailers/caravans.

We love Camping La Roseraie www.camping-calvados-normandie.fr/?-Campsite-in-Normandy-in-Omaha-Beach- near Omaha beach. We've been back there 4 or 5 times over the last 10 years and have always had a lovely time. It's small, but has everything you need, and is a twenty minute cycle from the beach.
