serviced campsites on south coast

We are going to be new to camping this year (did a lot as a kid but none as an adult).

A tent has been chosen and I'm itching to book a weekend away somewhere to get going.

I am NOT a back to basics camper at all so I really want EHU and (decent) shower/toilet blocks otherwise I know I'll just give up and never go again Grin

We live in SE London so south coast easy for us to get to for a weekend away. 2 adults and 2 DC (both 4, DS and friend).

So:
South coast
EHU and shower block
Childrens play area
near to a sandy beach

Does anyone have a recommendations please !

Kingsdown International, which is not too far from Deal, might be a good one, albeit it might be round the corner from where you were thinking: www.kingsdowncamping.co.uk/index.php. (I have not been there yet btw, but it is on my list).

Otherwise, if you want proper South Coast, Stubcroft Farm (www.stubcroft.com/) in East Wittering is nice and has some electric hook up I believe. It is close to West Wittering beach which is national trust and all sand.

I am not sure that either have proper children's play areas, but there is loads of space to run around.

We love Graffham and Normans Bay, Graffham hasn't got a playarea as such but it is in a sort of Rhododendron forest and adjacent to a hill with perfect climbing trees etc and the kids love it. Graffham is a drive to the beach but a few to choose between, Normans Bay is literally on the beach!
