Hi there
Any recommendations for a Dordogne campsite. Would be great if it had a river beach and a pool, was in walking distance of a village/town and the less 'animations' the betterSmile thanks

Port de Limeuil ticks all those boxes.

camping le paradis is lovely.

I can second Camping le Paradis. We went there two years ago and it was really lovely - beautiful setting and gorgeous site.

Les Valades is a beautiful site with a large lake the dc can canoe and swim in and a large heated pool. Best memory of the holiday was the kids toasting marshmallows on a huge campfire

I second Les Valades. We are returning for the third time this summer!

HettyD · 11/02/2015 21:05

I third les paradis, cleanest, nicest site I have ever visited!!

HettyD · 11/02/2015 21:06

DH just reminded me though we also camped at camping le perigord nord which was still lovely and MUCH cheaper!!

What I love about Les Valades is that they allow campfires and BBQs on your pitch which I understand is quite unusual in France.

Another vote for les valades!

years ago we stayed at bo bains. we were in a chalet there but we now have our own caravan and would love to go back.
it is right on the river, so beautiful. this was nearly ten years ago, so things could have changed, but can't remember there being any animations! there is a pool and slides though.

We go to Les isles in Beaulieu sue Dordogne. Really lovely site on the banks of the river, lots of walks and 5 min walk from the village.

We used to go to soleil plage when I was younger.

We went 4 times and I have such happy memories there. Looking at the website it's changed a lot in the 10 years since I've last been, but you can't change the location! Grin It still looks very impressive.

Can't wait to go back with my dc.
