Quick bit of help for a new holiday idea

Hi mumsnet
My wife is a member here, but this is my first post, (hope I am not breaking any rules)

We are looking to build several medieval huts for people to stay in. Basically a different twist on Camping Pods.

They will be authentic, but with the option to upgrade certain parts to modern standards.

The village will be very child friendly, (we have three young ones of our own) And don't worry will also have modern toilets/wash facilities on site!

I am trying to work out if there is a market for this idea, and how we could improve it, so please help by taking this 9 Question quick survey. (no sign-up required):

£350 a night Shock

It doesn't appeal to me, sorry!

cmackay81 · 11/09/2014 22:44

no no, £350 is a typical price for a nice log cabin in summer. As £50 for a Camping Pod, or £80 for a Yurt.

I am asking what would you pay for a Medieval Hut?

They look fab!

Could they be marketed as 'wattle and thatch huts' or something? I wouldn't want to feel I was being drawn into some kind of re-enactment experience.

Suggest you look at the accommodation options at Puy du Fou, particularly Clovis Island.
