We are looking for a new family car that is reliable and economical to run with large boot space for all our camping needs. What car do you have and how do manage to fit everything in??? We noticed estates seem quite popular on site opposed to people carriers.

How many are in your family? If there are three of you, get a Honda FR-V or a Fiat Multipla - then you can all sit in the front and use the entire back of the car for stuff.

I looked at a Fiat Multipla yesterday as it happens when I was mooching around a used car place. I'd had no idea you could get cars like that nowadays with three seats across the front! I'm not sure I like the idea tbh. The only advantage to being the only driver is that when we go away I don't have to be packed in the sardine tin with the rest of the family, I get my own space Wink.

The Multipla was amazing for a family of three - you chat on with each other much more, and if you put the child in the middle you still have plenty of space. The only reasonably modern cars with three seats across the front are the Multipla and the FR-V, neither of which is available new any more. The Multipla has more room than the Honda, but isn't as well made.
