I went camping at the weekend - am I officially the Last Camper Standing?

Good stuff puddle! Was it cold at night?

We are meant to be doing a weekend on Oct 26th. Did it last year and twas ffffreezing and damp. We shall see.

im a pure summer camper - but with 2 girls aged 2 and 11 months, i cant have them getting cold!

It was an absoultely glorious weekend - really hot. Not at all cold at night - I did wrap the kids up for bed though.

We sat outside the tent drinking wine and chatting until gone 12 and didn't feel chilly.

I'm gutted as I think we could have gone either of the last two weekends but DH wasn't up for it . We're still thinking about camping, though - we want a Vango Aspen 500 for next year and have started a tent fund by selling stuff we don't need - so far have made 180 quid in a week! About 100 to go I think.......Anybody got one? Any good?

we're going this weekend. And we're booked with friends for a weekend in October, so I'm afraid you're not - you'll have to do better than that!

We went with my twins in the last week of August. It was the first time camping for us. One of my boys is terrified of the dark, I thought it might be a big issue but he was ok, we had wind up torches and a huge lantern in our bedroom!

I'm up for it again, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be with 2 kids. They loved it!

(Oh, and it was the cheapest holiday we've ever had, hurrah!)

Yes, I know, we are mad but I want to test out my new tent (end of season bargain) and I refuse to believe summer is over just yet

You wouldn't catch me in a tent again now, and we are going away all through the winter as well!

The tent was amazing, the heater was a life saver and we had brilliant weather even tho the rest of the uk was a wash-out.
