Camping in Annecy and Lake Garda

Can anyone recommend any campsites in Annecy and Lake Garda. We are travelling to stay with family in Hungary and plan on spending 4 days in Annecy or surrounding area and then 4 days at Lake Garda. We have only camped in U.K so no idea where to begin with this one.

Sounds exciting! No experience of camping in Annecy but there are loads of campsites at Lake Garda. It depends what sort if site you like, there are some huge sites with amazing facilities, but personally I prefer smaller sites. When I was looking I tried to narrow down the area because the lake is huge! It is busier at the south end and the theme parks are on the eastern side/ southeast, while the north end is quieter and more mountainous. We ended up on the western shore and it was beautiful, but still close enough for day trips

When i'm looking for a specific area I google earth it then look for campsites then look at their site if I like the look of the area.

Try L'Ideal or du lac Bleu (right next to lake) at the bottom end of Lake Annecy. There is also Europa which is further up the lake, closer to Annecy.

We are just back from a few days at Camping Al Pescatore at lago Di Caldonazzo...not far from lake Garda .Highly recommend it .Have fun
