Places to wild camp in Scotland?

I've convinced DP to try one or two nights wild camping.

Somewhere not too far from a road so carrying all the stuff isn't too hard would be best.

Being near the coast would be nice.

Any hidden gems?

Hubby and daughter just back from Barra - Stornoway and most of it was wild but I guess that's a bit far for what you're after. The further west you go you'll be luckier with spaces. There is quite a well known one at Glenuig but it is a bit of a trek from the village/road over the headland but it is doable...it's popular with canoeists so you may find that you're not alone! Check out Glenuig on google maps then zoom off too your right on the headland. There is a bay near Smirisary and a pic jsut above it...that's your spot!

Also Redpoint beach near Gairloch but the same as before... if it's known about...you may have company!
