France what do your 1yo wear at night?

I cant remember what dc1 wore at that age. We have 2 weeks planned, Annecy and Dordogne. Hell be sleeping in a Nomad (or in with us ;) ) and we have a selection of vests, normal sleepsuits, fleecy sleepsuits and varying togs of grobag type sleeping bags, but I want to limit what we take a bit. Just not sure what the temps will be like at night? Weve camped once with him in the UK earlier this month and he was in a fleecy sleepsuit and 2.5tog sleeping bag, but I think France in August may be somewhat hotter than a windy Yorkshire in early July well I hope so Grin

Yes I haven't been to France in the summer for two years but I remember it being hot. My DC wore vests and underwear to bed, and were still roasting. I suggest that and bring a small blanket in case it's colder one night.

We were in St Tropez in June and DD slept in her pants most nights as it was so warm. She is 4 mind you and we do co-sleep with her between us but she goes off to bed before us so is on her own for a while. Mostly she slept on top of the duvet.

At 1 you might want a bit more on at night but I would bring a few vests and a couple of pairs of pyjamas and leave it at that. If there is a sudden dip in temps while you are there you can always add a couple of layers from her day clothes but I suspect it will be warm where you are going.

BTW for comparison, camping in England DD often sleeps in thermal pyjamas and a fleecy sleepsuit or possibly just regular pyjamas on a properly warm night.

thanks both, that's really helpful.
