I'm taking my DC (age 7 and 4) to their first festivals this year Grin

I need a tent that's big enough for the three of us but not massive or difficult to put up... I'm thinking we can probably all fit in together in one sleeping compartment on a double airbed, and we could also do with some kind of porch area to put food etc.

Previously we've only ever been camping with exH and a ridiculously large tent that took forever to put up... this time I just want something simple! And less than 100 ideally.

Any suggestions?

Vango are amazing. We have the Vango Halo 300, ample for you 3. It goes up so easy you'll be shocked and it's great for all weathers. Not cheap though but you may get a deal? Plus it'd do for other trips so be worth it.

Am sure others will be along with more advice on cheaper tents.

Here it is. It's so small when packed too.

Ooh it does look good, thanks! I'm also looking at this Quechua pop up one after reading about the bigger version on another thread www.decathlon.co.uk/2-seconds-xxl-iii-pop-up-tent-dark-green-id_8205982.html

That looks great. Just peeked at reviews of it on Uk campsite. Here.

We've recently bought a Vango 450 - it fits a double and a single airbed in with about a foot's space between them, so that you can get out without stomping on someone else's airbed, and fit a few bags/jumpers in. It has quite a good porch area - I think the three of us could sit on chairs in it if it's raining. But it's quite compact.

I think that tunnel shaped design is good because it's literally three poles and around ten pegs, so takes maybe 15 - 30 minutes to put up. The inner part just clips in. Probably not as quick as a pop up though, but possibly a bit sturdier.
