What tents do you all use for weekend camping.

We are going to buy a tent, it will be mostly for weekends or long weekends and maybe a weeks break next year.

I don't know if we should get a big tent or average sized, there are 4 of us, 2 adults, 2 children who are 9 and 12.

Have been looking at the outwell rockwell 5 tent.

Then thought we should just get a big tent, thinking the outwell whitecove 6 tent, my question is will this tent be to big for weekends?

Can you add links to the tent you use for weekends/long weekends away.

I've got the vango Icarus 600 too, I love it, loads of space, pretty easy to put up if OH listens to my instructions prob takes 25 mins(though the instructions reckon 10)

We decided the Rockwell 5 was too small for DH, DS (4) and myself after sitting in one in the rain at Go Outdoors so we got the Whitecove 5.

I love it - just ordered the extension to sit in in the rain with 10 friends this weekend (they do have their own tents but it makes ours big enough to be the party tent )
