Hi all - we are heading to Camp Bestival in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on trolleys? I have. 4yo and 1yo and thought it would be good for the evening but only want to get one if it's heavy duty enough... Or should we just stick with hiring one from Mr Trolley?!

We bought one on ebay when we did Latitude and it was worth its weight in gold - we have a belltent and carrying it to & from the carpark to the campsite with everything else would have crippled us. Also great for sticking a sleeping bag and cushions in and ferrying the little ones about. Don't forget the handle or the allen key though, like we did one time

Also bungee cords for keeping everything inside when wheeling to/from the car. You do not want it tipping on muddy ground.

Thanks - I think we probably will use it again, but really stuck on what size to get!!! I'd rather spend £60 buying one than hiring one!! Deffo remember the bungee cords thanks :-)

What should one look for in a trolley? Or can you link to your eBay one please?

It is very hilly around here so get a good one.

bumping hopefully for recommendations, I would love a suitable trolley to cart everything around

We just bought this one: Garden Trolley

We hired one last year for about the same amount, put a sheepkin rug in it and it was great for out nearly 2 year old. Have a nearly 3 year old and 10 month old this time so hoping it's as good.

That one looks good!! Do you have it yet? Sooo hard ordering off the internet! :-/

Yeh we have, DH said it was a nightmare to put together and we havent tried it yet, it's just in the garden under a cover. I am hoping to make a rain canopy and find a mattress to fit it this weekend. Seems okay, sturdy wheels, and same as the one we hired which was good. Sides come down so you can use it as a bench too.

ChuckNovice · 10/07/2014 22:03

We did almost buy this because it had a canopy already but didn't think it would last as long, especially as we have to store it in the garden under a cover.
