Has anyone taken a young baby camping? Is it feasible, practical, or more hassle than it's worth? He is bottle-fed, so would need to sterilize bottles etc. Btw, this would be Hampshire in August Smile

I think I just commented on your post in AIBU.

When I did it last year with DC3, who was about 4 months old, it was fine - great in fact.

We bought a big clip-lidded kind of container thing to sterilise the bottles in with Milton tabs and the pre-made up small cartons of formula. I don't know if there is a cheaper way of doing that?

She slept in a hammock at home, so we took that with us and dressed her warmly at night with babygros/gro-bag and she slept unbelievably soundly.

Good luck! I'm sure it will be brilliant

I took my 4mo baby camping a few years ago. We used cartons and disposable bottles and it was fine. The fresh air got him to sleep through too!

Milton is your friend

Perfectly possible. As others have said, cold water sterilisation and cartons of milk are the way to go.
