Camping travel cots... any good?

Hello!
We're I'm thinking of getting a camping travel cot, one that either pops up or has poles, for our 16 m old and I was wondering whether anyone had any recommendations or advice about them. We're seasoned campers but just getting back into it after DS and he's no good on the floor beside us or co sleeping because once he realises we're nearby that's it. Game over and no sleep all round. We have been using a normal travel cot but are really struggling for space in the car once I've packed the kitchen sink and the dogs.
Do any of you use them and if so which one? Thanks!

Yes! My friend lent me one and it was brilliant. I'm just waiting for her to get back to me with the make. I know it wasn't cheap though!

We had a Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel cot. It was brilliant.

Baby Bjorn, travel cot lite. Absolutely brilliant and folds up pretty small. not cheap so might be worth looking on ebay for a second hand one.

We also had the Samsonite Pop up Bubble one. It is fantastic, easy to set up and also provides protection from midges, mosquitos etc.

We have the little life arc 2. It has been our travel cot for all trips since ds1 was tiny. Ds2 still uses it (just!), and will be used next yr when dc3 arrives.

Got it second hand on eBay, so might be worth looking on there.
