Well... we're minimalist, so we don't do tables/chairs... but I would say yes- most people use them, though it's nice sitting on hay bales round the campfire
You will need at least 1 lantern, probably torch for each DS, as the loos have no lights/electricity (even the plumbed/flush ones) so any trips after dusk will be essential to have torch, though headlamp type are good for loo visits, wandering around in the dark. The LED ones are v inexpensive nowadays, and are v light with good battery life.
The shop on-site sells most things, though obviously not the cheapest. They had good organic eggs, meat, pasta, beer, cider etc. Most people had gazebos outside their tents, lots made little corrals with their pals (whole swathes of people seem to meet-up there, but it's not a problem, camping types are usually v friendly).
One family had an outside caterer come in and do a hog roast for them over the BH- there were about 6 or 7 tents, so quite a lot of people altogether, celebrating someone's 50th I think... but that's probably going a little too far for a few days away with the boys!
