Sleeping arrangement for 3 yr old toddler - Hi Gear Boom Sleeping Pod?

Seeking advice on best sleeping arrangement for a 3 year old for several camping trips we are going on this summer. So far the options i'm considering are a ready bed with lots of blankets or a self inflating mattress with a sleeping bag.

Main issue is what kind of sleeping bag is best for the second option? The only toddler sleeping bag i've found online is the Hi Gear Boom Kids sleeping pod - but it doesn't have amazing reviews, so I wonder if there is anything else around. DD is little - 85 cm tall. Perhaps there is some kind of homemade fix you can do with a normal junior sleeping bag so that she won't wriggle down into it and then she can grow into it?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

I've read about people buying normal sleeping bags and using a belt to shorten it and to stop the child from slipping down into it

DS has a Vango Nitestar Junior which was recommended on here. At 10 he still fits it comfortably and has never complained of the cold though he is camping in a hand built shelter at scout camp this weekend- that should be the telling time!
And yes to shortening it with a belt or strap.
When I was looking I saw that Vango did Nitestars for smaller children but I imagine they would only have a limited life before they were grown out of. Might be worth a scout on eBay though :)

Buy a good ordinary sleeping bag. Fold it up to make it the legnth you want. Sew it securely. Then you can extend it as necessary. No need for children's bags.

We have the night star convertibles, with the zip of bit at the bottom for when they get bigger. They've worked well.

We do duvets. Children have super warm fleece onesies with feet and hood. If it's cold thermals under, if it's winter fleece over. Wrapping them is much better IMO as they can move around, sit up etc before bed and don't get cold.
We found they didn't like being enclosed in a bag, a sleeping bag needs to be tight to be really warm. Plus mine wriggle around in the night. I also put things around their air beds so they can't fall out.
