Think we're wimping out...Suffolk flood warning

And I'm gutted. First trip of the season, treated ourselves to a new stove and tent light, kids super excited...

But....the forecast is for heavy rain with a flood warning thrown in for Tuesday to Thursday so we would basically pitch up tomorrow then get wet for the rest of the camp and pack up loads of wet gear. So the vote from Dh and his sister is to cancel and go to stay with SIL instead.

Ds1 cried and I'm in a grump, even though I really don't fancy getting soaked for 3 days. Harrumph.

Anyone else braving it? Or cancelled?

Off to Suffolk today... Braving it. Lots of great pubs if really wet.

Braving it. Rain came down last night like someone unzipped the sky. Torrential wasn't in it. Still raining now. Loads of damp clothes from going to the showers and loo. No sleep last night. We put up in the dry and hoping that it will be dry to take down on friday. To be honest, had i known that it was going to be this insanely wet, I might have called it off.

Had such a fab time despite a month and a half's rainfall in first night. Am so glad to be back sleeping outdoors again.
