If you've had one for a year or more do you still use it and love it?

Wolfcub · 12/05/2014 21:39

Thanks Yellow. Do you have all the accessories?

I do. Started off with just the roasting rack followed shortly after by the wok. Then frying pan and griddle and extension ring....

Basically I can cook anything I would cook at home on it. There are loads of threads here. Go for it you won't regret it!

profpoopsnagle · 13/05/2014 20:36

Yes- I even use it more now as I have tried out different things.

I'm watching with interest. We have a folding camper. Would a Cobb still come in handy?

rememberingnothing · 13/05/2014 20:43

We have a petrol stove and a Cobb. We use both and have done for about 4 years. I have only the rack. Don't bother with the other bits just do them on the stove.

You won't regret it.

Thought I better not start another cobb thread so crashing this one
Oh cobb owners. What do you boil your tea water on?
I saw this www.backpackinglight.co.uk/cookers-and-stoves/RB105.html on another thread but am still pondering
The person who posted it suggested putting it in the cobb to use. Also looking at the other small ones at the bottom of that page
Or is it better just to buy something like this

Or this

Yup still love it 2 years on, and will be relying on it for 2 months this summer. To answer TWTCJ, sometimes we use the cobb to boil a ghillie / storm kettle. In Europe with EHU we just use an electric kettle, without EHU tend to take a small gas canister and small folding stove.
