Can anyone recommend a campsite in the Scarborough/Whitby area, please?

Looking at visiting North Yorkshire for a week in August and am looking for a campsite for a tent with electric hook up. Needs to accept dogs, have decent loos/showers and ideally a playground for DS - I like the look of the C&C Club site in Scarborough but it works out nearly £300 (seems a bit steep to - but maybe its just because we are now restricted to school holidays!)... just wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere else in the area.

I have been looking at the area between Scarborough and Whitby - but if anyone can recommend anywhere else?

Hi not quite Scarborough or whitby but a lovely site and can easily reach coast for day out. Golden square at Hensley. Has a great play area, and lovely bathroom facilities. If you google it, am sure you'll find it.

Have you looked at Humble Bee Farm? Not the cheapest, but great facilities, lovely nature walks and activities; a short drive to beautiful Filey Beach and you can have campfires. We visited 2 years ago and really liked it

Thank you both - will have a look at them :-)

If you are a member of the c+cc, we went to a cs a couple of years ago, High Horcum farm, near Pickering. It was great and only 10 pounds a night. No play area, but there was a rope swing and loads of room to play. You can't beat a weeks holiday for 70 pounds.

[http://www.valeofpickering.co.uk Vale of Pickering] has a superb playground and the site managers were super lovely, helping out massively when I had a car crisis.

Friends say Hooks House Farm is lovely. We are hoping to try it this summer.

Middlewood Farm site in Robin Hoods Bay? Not sure if they only have statics though.
