Hi there, can anyone recommend the best place for camping, about 3 hours maximum from Exeter. We have a 19month old DD. We like family activities, the beach, walks in the wods, countryside, anything with animals etc. We are going next weekend so really need somewhere where there is lots to do, even in the rain. I was think of the Eden Project and if there is anywhere nice around there to camp...
Thank yo uin advance.

We stayed at Tehidy campsite near Portreath in Cornwall over the bank holiday. It was lovely and the bloke who runs it was very friendly and helpful.

Treloan Farm on the Roseland is beautiful, it's a tucked away part of Cornwall but lots to explore and handy for .eden Project. They have animals and bring fresh eggs to you daily if you want. It's super!

And the top field at Veryan C&C site is great, sheltered and we have done 10 days there in drizzle, mist and rain but the washing and drying facilities, proximity to great pubs and St Mawes made it all good fun. Big field for games, woods to explore and tv room with table tennis.

And yes to Tehidy, that's a lovely site too-- hello BadRoly!
