Outdoor room / shelter thing

Anyone got any recommendations. I want to be able to put the table and chairs under it so we get a combo os shade and protection. Would like mesh sides so protect from bugs. A gazebo comes to mind but they arn't really designed to put up and stay up for two week holiday. Mr flapping is concerned about a gazebo blowing away and aso they re possibly more bulky to pack. So. Bright ideas please.

We have a Coleman event shelter and it's brilliant. Not cheap but great for holidays.

You can peg a gazebo down, and get one with guy lines.

Look at the Khyam site for their Sun shelters. We have a really old one and it has lasted really well. this one looks great.

We us a Quechua Pop up living room. Not as big as the Event shelters, which are good, but very quick and easy to erect.

What about this? Just spotted it on the Decathlon website. Not pop up though so no idea how easy it would be to put up.

We use a pop up gazebo which is pegged down at the base and with guy ropes. We'd put it away in high winds though but as it doesn't take long, it'd be no bother. You can hang your washing from the top inside too. Grin

We have lost 2 or 3 gazebos to wind. We now have an outwell day tent which looks very similar to that decathlon picture. Much more durable than a gazebo!

Thanks to you all. Went to look at shelters and came back captivated by folding campers. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Decisions!

Coleman event shelter for us. It's stood the test of time in some horrendous weather. Only very occasionally has the weather been too bad for us to sit in it - think sideways rain!!

TheKnightsThatSayNee · 05/04/2014 21:37

Coleman event shelter has been great for us too.

Coleman also do a rather good pop up living room tent thing, with sewn in ground sheet and steel poles, so pretty sturdy, but very quick to erect.

Coleman event shelter for us with sides, we have three sides if we need more privacy or it's cool..make sure we stay toasty!! Got ours on a price match through go outdoors so was £160 inc the three sides. We haven't gone for a groundsheet.
