We're a family of four; two adults and two very small ones.

What sort of camping do you want to do?

Just weekends away and some festivals in the UK mostly.

I'd want separate living and sleeping spaces. (But then we had a 7 man tent for 3 of us. (Invaluable to have the extra room when you camp a lot and it rains a lot!)

Has anyone bought a bell tent from baker and bell? They are a lot cheaper than other websites.

We have the outwell oregon5 and my dsis has the icarus500. They are pretty similar size / layout wise. The only thing I'd say is the outwell is an older design so getting accessories for it is a pain. If you don't mind having non- matching (non-outwell) accessories then it's ok but we have had to make do with a generic footprint and a vango canopy/ extension as there weren't outwell ones available. I did source a carpet online but only one place had stock, loads of other places listed but then it was unavailable Hmm

I have the Icarus, I like it. My two were v little when we started going and I liked the fact that the bedroom area is split into two by a curtain rather than being two pods, making it easy to get to the kids if they got up during the night. It's dead easy to put up (I can do it myself) and I like the fact that you can get the extension porch thing, meaning you can take just the tent for a day or two, or the tent plus extension if you want more room for a longer stay.
