planning a camping trip with friend (no kids).
anyone have a good midlands-ish campsite they want to rave about? ideally campfires and dogs allowed.

Do you mean an adult-only site? I'm assuming not, so I would recommend www.foxholes-castle.co.uk/ in Shropshire. No kids' facilities as such, but family-friendly, so there would probably be kids around.

I have never been but heard that this place is great.

group of adults, not bringing children but doesn't have to be an adult only site.

ooh, that does look good hillbilly. Lovely area. Particularly like that they have banned chinese lanterns - well done them!

hz · 27/01/2014 20:28

oh damn. Just noticed, tents only. Booooo.

hillbilly · 27/01/2014 20:33

Don't you have a tent now hz? Nothing to stop you travelling in the camper van and taking tent.....

hz · 27/01/2014 20:58

No, no tent - apart from living space. Anyway can't bring myself to give up my nice comfy, quiet campervan bed to sleep on the floor again. I don't care how nice the campste is. But I have emailed them to check because sometimes 'tent only' just means no caravans or motorhomes. Fingers crossed (as if I don't already have a huge list of campsites I want to visit!).
