When do you need to book Camp Bestival?

Hoping to see if we can book Bestival this year, me and the four boys. As yet the line-up hasn't been announced but I assume once it has, it would get booked up fairly quickly? If you went last year, when did you book? Hoping to get Camping Plus as well.

Pretty sure the actual Camp Bestival tickets didn't run out until about a month before last year (but I'm guessing it all depends on the line up). Camping plus tickets ran out a lot earlier and of course the later you leave it the less choice of plot you have.

Last year we booked in April, we got camping plus tickets too but were riiiight down in the violet section which was LOUD.

And we've just booked for this year, probably about half the camping plus places have been taken already.

We booked in September simply as I'm taking the caravan (on my own with 6 year old ds - arghhh!) and wanted to make sure I got a space. Plus the side benefit of paying just over £7 per week makes it feel a lot less expensive :-)

All irrelevant to me now. We added the numbers up and can't afford it. Originally it was to be our summer holiday, but then dh had the bright idea of asking the boys which they'd prefer, Camp Bestival or the Algarve and they said Algarve. the traitors Which is lovely of course. But then he did some sums and said "Oh, we can do both" and then he did some other sums and said "Oh no, we can't"
I will bring them camping somewhere else here in Ireland but it won't be the same.

camping plus does get sold out.

It's needing the ferry that does us in as well. There are festivals here too, of course but the best one to go to is on just when the kids are going back to school so not good timing for us.
