good hotel between Calais and La Garangeoire?

can anyone recommend one, halfway between Calais and La Garangeoire in the Vendee? We did the drive last year and managed, but it was tiring.
Any tips for an overnight stay?

We did a late night ferry on the Friday night then drive to abbeville just an hour down the coast and stayed in a 24hr ibis cheap motel type place. We got there about 1am I think. Then had breakfast and left about 10 and we got to La G about 4.

This year I wanted to do the overnight to st Malo and just have a 3.5hr drive but it's over £700 so will be doing eurotunnel as I can get that free on tesco club card points and will stay somewhere again possibly abbeville again.

To add halfway I think would be between rouen (ehich we find a nightmare to navigate!) and alencon.
