Eurocamp or Similar in France

Hope you can help! We have decided to do eurocamp or similar in France and need advice! We will hopefully going in the first week in August. Will driving down from the NE and hope to go somewhere in the North although dh has talked about Dordogne.
Now we have neverdone this before and haven't a clue where to go. We are a family of 3 (dd is 5) and we are looking for somewhere with a good pool, near a beach and fairly lively.

So can anyone give us some pointers - we don't want to do lots of driving. Not sure whether ferry / tunnel is best. Need advice on toll roads. And I'm sure a million other things.

Thanks in advance!

Try eurocamp, canvas or matthews holidays, we have been with eurocamp many times and the kids love it. Even if you just give them a ring and tell them what you are looking for they can give you an idea on price, ferrries etc.

Look at le paradis near st Leon on the vezere in Dordogne, seriously the BEST site I have ever been on!!

Last year we went with Eurocamp to La Plage in Trinite Sur Mer in Brittany. We got the ferry from Portsmouth to Caen and then it was a 3 1/2 hour drive. This was really easy and there were no tolls on the roads we went on. The area is really lovely and l would really recommend it. We were right by the beach which was brilliant for our 2 year old. This site might not be lively enough but there are other sites near Carnac which looked nice. We are hoping to go to Les Menhirs this year and then some time further south too as we have bought our own tent this year!Grin

Often you can book same camps with brittany ferries. Have found this works out a fair bit cheaper than euro camp.
