We go to www.northmortefarm.co.uk a couple of times every year and love it. The pitches are a bit slopey but the wonderful views more than make up for it.
It's well run, cheap (£12 a night all in) and has easy access to a lovely little beach and 3 nice pubs. Also only a short drive to Woolacombe beach.

Can't do links - sorry!

that looks just the ticket...thanks fuzzyfelt

for a bit more commercial, we liked ruda. Had kids entertainment (was actually really good at night!) really cheap, had its own beach.

Hidden Valley is also very nice if you've had no luck at the others.

Hiya- we g to Ilfracombe every year! When camping with the tent we've always gone to the big meadow campsite. Lovely and peaceful with a little stream and tree swing for the kids and a nice restaurant/pub about 5 mins walk away. Really friendly site. If you are looking for ideas of things to do/places to go give me a shout

Warcombe Farm nr. Mortehoe is nice and on a cliff top and non-commercial (with fab showers with underfloor heating) - going again this yr - if DH is better. He had all his wisdom teeth out last wk and has some horrendous post op illness so not sure...meanwhile packing for 3 kids, DH and myself and wondering if I'm pregnant with no. 4..! Also, in the Top 10 in Observer is Little Meadow nr. Ilfracombe. Amazing views. Firends going there this summer. Only thing that stopped us was the shower situation - only 2 per gender. Over 2 wks with a shower phobic 16mo old wasn't an option for us really but wish it was. They have a website. Have fun.
