on a day like today I wish...

....I had a nice little tent. Throw the kids in the back of the car, beds and sleeping bags and go off and have an adventure.

Our tent is fab....love it....but it is too big for an over night stop, and too big to just chuck in the car and go. Packing it is a major faff.

Sigh.

I'm just going to have to make do with a picnic in the park

aww ours is tiny so could do that but on a couple of nights plus it is way too small for us all.

erm, we bought \link{http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/pp/Tents/5-6_person/Vango_Venture_500_Tent.html\this tent} last weekend for weekend camping! we just now have to find a free weekend to use the thing!

I was looking at that exact tent and wishing I had one!

Did the picnic, it was great, but could have gone camping!

Ours is easy to pack and go as it comes in a suitcase thing, but DH had to work- otherwise would ahve met up with SallyS. Its so ovely outside but can't do anything much- Dh was asleep until after lunch (nights shift), and he hs to go again after Dinner so can't do the usual and sit in the pub garden down by the Usk /wit/h a cide-r.-

dh is away in africa for 2.5 weeks, so I'd have gone on my own with the kids. They are easier 'out' iyswim

Hmmmm, not tkaing my three away on my own- someone needs to be watching the older ones whilst the others chase ds3.

oh I would love to have gone camping this weekend too - DH working both days though and thought it would be a bit off to go and have fun without him but oh to sit outside my tent with a glass of wine whilst the kids run free - bliss.

That was the image I had in my mind!
