informal exclusion by a school 6th form

Has anyone had any experience of school exclusions - my girl was forced out of 6th form in the middle of her A levels. The school said they 'asked her to leave' but insisted it is not an exclusion. All rights to appeal were denied. After my complaint they then issued a lawful exclusion 7 weeks later and are now insisting we attend a panel meeting - all reference to
the illegality and missed education is not refered to anymore. Governors
do not refer to it in correspondance and I feel very uncomfortable as the head is on the panel. Anyone ....

Have they given any reasons?

I think they don't have to follow the same procedures once the child is post 16 and therefore post compulsory education age (as she is because of the academic year she is in). If she were a year younger it would be a different kettle of fish as she'd have to stay in education till 18.

You have put this on the camping page, did you know?

Sorry you are having such a horrid time.
