We are planning a trip. I don't really do 'roughing it' but will have to start to love it.

Any good sites in South Lakes which have good facilities for kids and where toilets aren't too horrid!

www.parkfootullswater.co.uk/ we went last year absolutely spotless toilets and showers. there is a little club house and a shop. and a play park for kids. just the right amount of facilities but nothing like a haven park if u get my drift. we camped on the lakeside pitch which was beautiful and pooley bridge is a short walk by the lake with pubs and shops. defo recommend park foot Smile Smile

Ullswater is lovely BUT it's not south Lakes.
It's in the North.

The Quiet Site - has a small camp shop and bar!

Another vote for the Quiet site. A camp site with a pub (complete with kids room) has to be a winner. And they have pods if you prefer. Very useful in April.
