Old Girl vintage tent is still in pieces in the spare room. I had been having a sulk at her as there was a second piece broken which I had known about but hadn't realise the spares for that would be nearly as much as she cost.
Finally plucked up the courage to call the spares place who asked me a few questions "ah well you see madam, what you have there is a mark 1 version with the heavier canvas and the separate poles in which case we do have a part for it which we can send out to you for £10".
Bargain!
He nearly fell of his chair when I told him I'd got her for £32!
So I'm going to be stalking the post man now
