The weather is good so we are doing this last minute camping trip with my two children aged daughter 13 and 5. Daughter just wants to sunbath so a good beach nearby and swimming pool suitable for older children will be ideal.

Anywhere around 3 hours drive from Calais will be ok. We have a week so looking to split between two site but are happy to stay in one for the whole week if its a good one. I also don't want to be holed on the campsite all the time and would like to venture into the local area. I like museums, architecture and just driving around beautiful natural sorrounding.

Give me ideas please. I have been on ukcampsites and still can't seem to decide.

la brevedent - nice campsite with good restaurant (in one large building) and quaint bar in old house. Decent size pool. croisssants for sale. Mobile homes and tents (pitched round a small lake).

Only downsides - bit british for us - but good location and nottoo expensive.

I recently did an overnight stay at la cote de nacre in st aubin sur mer. It's a yelloh! Site. Great pool complex and Bayeaux and Caen nearby and well as Normandy landings stuff nearby. Seemed like a good place for teens.
