Would you camp with a baby in this heat?

We are booked to camp next weekend and the long term forecast suggests it will still be sunny and 30ish degrees. We have a baby who is only a couple of months old and for the last two days I have mainly kept him inside our house as it is so hot. I am slightly worried that camping will be too hot for him but I would hate to cancel as our other children are so excited.

What do people think. Any tips for camping with a small baby in hot weather?

I would get a nice big gazebo so that you can guarantee shade to flop in with the baby. The others will need it too. Then it should be lovely :-). that would be my only concern. I think the tent should be fine so long as you have it well aired in the day it will be ok temp at night but the tent will be stifling in the day so you don't want to rely on it as your shady flopping point in the day.

I'm sure you could ifnd them cheaper than lakeland but the pop up one packs down nice and small and you can get side panals too. www.lakeland.co.uk/52189/Gazebo-zipped-side-panel

If you are short on packing space just get a tarp and some poles, great for shade over the pram. www.ddhammocks.com/product/ddtarp_olive_green_3x3

Thanks. We do have a gazebo so there will be a little shade. My worry is that gazebo shade isn't that cool, it won't give the baby a break from the heat like being inside does.
