Bought a NEW Bell tent but when we opened it up , its used!!!!!

We are a very annoyed.....Bought the tent from Boutique camping and when we phoned them up to let them know the tent is not new they told us that our tent was a return...You would think they would have checked to see if it had been used. The poles are covered in mud and grass. She offered us a £50 discount! Not enough IMO. Anyway we are putting it up tonight to see exactly how used it is. Just wondering what the going rate for a used Bell tent is? We are supposed to be going camping at the weekend :(

OMG that is not acceptable! Have them sort out a courier to pick it up again.

I agree, really gutted, but we can borrow my sisters vango tent so at least we can still go away.

i would take it and use it but don't tell them just get it collected after the weekend

If something is second hand I would estimate the price should drop by a third. I think it's outrageous that they have sold you a return as a new tent

I wouldn't deal with them again. Get in touch with Soulpad tomorrow, they're fab.

The cheek that they only offered you £50 off....I would have been hopping mad.

They must take this back and send you a new one. Are they not offering to do that? it is a shame to miss out on a weekend with it but £50 off is nowhere near enough. Bell tents do hold their value second hand but like NettleTea, you would still want at least a third off.

Also I would wonder why it was returned - is there something wrong with it?
