I made my own bunting this week!!

Thats it really, we used my mums bag of scrap material and Dd3 and I had a great time choosing patterns. We even found some of my old school summer dress fabric.

It is life history bunting

Oh and I used a sewing machine for the first time ever. Said bunting is currently hanging in my dining room

Bunting for your tent?

Sorry, yes for my tent [s]. I was being hassled by Dp when I posted

The Dd's and I have wanted to put bunting on the tent for a while but have never found time to make it. We are not really glampers but just think it looks great

Dp thinks we are a bit bonkers, we probably are but he doesnt get the whole camping thing and refuses to come with us if there is any chance we might be cooking on an open fire

That sounds fab! I saw a picture of glamping with bunting all over the tent, candles, pillows and blankets- looked lush!

Well done for getting it finished. Was it easy enough to do?

Actually it was quite easy. I made 2 different sized templates so that Dd3 could chose the colours and draw the shape for me then I cut the triangle out with pinking shears.

We bought some tape from a sewing shop and pinned the triangles on, Dd3 chose the pattern and then I just ran along it with two rows of machine stitches. Job done.

It took about 4 hours in total to make 2 lots of 3 metres. Both are different and unique.

I am very happy with it

Ooh that does sound easy! I keep saying I'm going to attempt making some and I have no excuses now!
