And yuo've got me lurking an' all!!
(Started packing yet??)

LucyCampCat · 23/05/2006 08:00

Perhaps we are all desperate for
a) the weather to improve
b) to get our first proper fix of the season next week!

moondog, all our stuff is in the corner of the lounge apart from the clothes which I keep adding jumpers and fleeces to!

peachyClair · 23/05/2006 16:40

Started to get my stuff together but got sidetracked by A) the school fayre; B) haircut C) got to do a presentation for a pocket money job interview at uni tomorrow D) grant forms. Plus got a letter from Uni I ahd to attend to (begging me to take a class next year, seems he ahs me confused with someone who can do it!). We're off Thurasday so panicking but still have a full day tomorrow!!!!!

Surfermum · 23/05/2006 16:44

I noticed that! I'm part way through packing and am trying my best to keep it to a minimum. How many jumpers, trousers and tops do you lot take for a long weekend?

And more importantly ..... has anyone seen the weather report?

anteater · 23/05/2006 17:01

Weather forcast not too bad for next week, its this weeks weather that would concern me.. Some sites already cancelling bookings for next week due to the rain yesterday..

peachyClair · 23/05/2006 17:03

whereabouts is that, anteater?

anteater · 23/05/2006 17:10

The lakes..

LucyCampCat · 23/05/2006 17:15

Well there is a reason it's called the lake District!

roisin · 23/05/2006 17:23

Do you mean clients cancelling Anteater? Or sites cancelling because of boggy conditions?

We're fair-weather campers, and are waiting for a reliable forecast before committing ourselves Grin

What do you go by as a reliable forecast for the Lakes? Atm it's looking as though it might be dry-ish on top next week, but it's going to be very soggy under-foot/under-tent!

PS Ds2 is having great fun with his soldering ... and remains keen and determined despite the kits he's made not actually working properly!

peachyClair · 23/05/2006 17:31

if he gets stuck with the soldering give me a yell, Dh is obsessive and has a business doing suchlike- Maplins type kits I presume?

We're heading sarf, thankfully. Phew!

anteater · 23/05/2006 17:36

We are fine here but loads of urgent calls from people whos hols have been cancelled due to the weather, no idea which parks are waterlogged but there must be a few as we get a 'soggy' call every 5 mins..!

So pleased ds2 is enjoying his solder..
When I was young I enjoyed making a tin car from solder..dont tell anyone tho!

peachyClair · 23/05/2006 17:48

Whereabouts are you absed Anteater? it's been rather nice here for a few days now- showers, but mostly sun. A bit chilly today but you know, we have fleeces. As long as DH can pitch in a dry spell he's OK, but we have theme park tickets booked (PAultons) so at least one day is a preference, if not a requisite at £52!

anteater · 24/05/2006 10:20

Snow on the tops this morning..
